Verdict Ready (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates verdict-ready.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account.
- Intake information: descriptions of your legal situation, answers to intake questions, location (state and city), and any documents you upload.
- Attorney information: practice areas, firm name, bar information, and billing details if you register as an attorney or paralegal.
Information collected automatically
- Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps)
- Session cookies required for authentication (via Supabase)
- Basic usage analytics
2. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the platform
- To generate AI-assisted intake summaries and issue classifications
- To match your intake with attorneys whose practice areas and location align with your situation
- To process payments and manage subscriptions (attorneys)
- To communicate with you about your account
- To improve the platform and prevent abuse
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. AI processing
Your intake information is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate summaries and classifications. Anthropic’s use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy. We do not use your intake data to train AI models.
4. Information sharing
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Matched attorneys: When your intake is matched to an attorney, that attorney can view your consultation summary (not your raw personal details such as name or email unless you choose to contact them).
- Service providers: Supabase (database and auth), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI processing), and Vercel (hosting). Each operates under its own privacy policy.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information).

7. Cookies
We use strictly necessary session cookies to authenticate you. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from signing in.
8. Children’s privacy
This platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our platform, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
